The Waluga Lodge Building, located at 417 Second Street. was originally constructed in the 1880s as a grocery store. It was also used as a dance hall and then a silent movie theater. It has played a major part in the development of City of Oswego. The Freemasons purchased the building in 1933 and hand carved the basement. Renters have claimed paranormal activity in the area near the point that the early Freemasons stopped excavating.

Freemasonry is the oldest Fraternal organization in existence. It’s members strive to become better husbands, better fathers, and better men by living the Masonic tenents of Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth. Freemasonry's unique features and attributes as an organization include never soliciting membership, which is why you see the slogan "To Be One Ask One.".
